Sydney Writers' Festival Out of Season double bill

Sydney Writers' Festival Out of Season double bill
In the lead-up to the Festival in May, Sydney Writers' Festival presents two events in one night. Come along and satisfy your craving for the 2011 Festival with two fantastic writers, Andrew O'Hagan and Annie Proulx.
Andrew O'Hagan
In an exciting double bill event SWF Festival Favourite and 2007 Opening Address speaker Andrew O'Hagan returns to Sydney to share an insight into Marilyn Monroe's life like no other. The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of his friend Marilyn Monroe is a unique, fictional peek into the life of this fascinating icon through the eyes of Maf, Marilyn's beloved dog, gifted to the famous siren by Frank Sinatra.
Annie Proulx
This event will be followed by the Pulitzer-Prize-winning author of The Shipping News and Brokeback Mountain, Annie Proulx. Proulx comes to Sydney on the publication of Bird Cloud, her first work of nonfiction in 20 years. Join us for this special event as this writer with extraordinary powers of observation and compassion turns her lens on herself.
