Indelible Ink

Indelible Ink

There seem to be more and more tattooed bodies on our streets nowadays, and they're not all footballers either. A recent Australian novel introduces us to Marie, a 59-year-old, recently divorced mother of three from Mosman, a very well-off part of Sydney Harbour's north shore. After one tattoo acquired on a drunken whim, she's hooked on it. Written by Fiona McGregor, Indelible Ink delves into what happens when a person's sense of self and place changes, and will never be the same again. This interview was first broadcast on 2 June 2010.
