2013 Literary Prize winner
Persephone Nicholas from Sydney has been awarded the National Seniors Literary Prize for 2013. Her winning entry, Burned, is a compelling narrative of love, loss and renewal which ties in to the 2013 theme of ‘change’ and gently unravels a story of one tragic event with consequences that ripple across four people’s lives.
Only in its second year, the Literary Prize attracted entries from more than 120 unpublished authors aged over 50 from across the country.
"Winning the National Seniors Literary Prize is an exciting new chapter in my life and provides a really valuable opportunity for me. I can’t wait to see what happens next, but I definitely think the future will include more books," Ms Nicholas said.
